OUR CLASSROOMS

All Saints by-the-Sea Parish School is a play/theme-based school. The children participate weekly in chapel, music and movement. Throughout the year they are introduced to a variety of enrichment experiences such as community helpers, ocean science, farm animals, and theater.

School drop-off is at 8:50-9:00am and pick up is at 12:45pm. We also offer an optional extended day program with pick up at 2:45pm. Snack is provided each day but children are expected to have a packed lunch and water bottle.

The school comprises of five distinct classrooms, each tailored to specific age groups. However, the playground offers a common ground where all children come together.

Bumble Bee

Children 2 years old - 1:4 teacher / student ratio

The Bumble Bee class is a non-potty-trained class.  This classroom is the starting point for children and families in the school setting.  Children are learning to share, separate from parents, and becoming independent in a safe and secure space outside the home. The Bumblebee class will explore age-appropriate concepts through stories, songs, art, pictures and conversation.

Bunny

Children 2.5 to 3 years old - 1:5 teacher / student ratio

The Bunny Class is made up of children who are potty trained.  Often, this classroom is an introduction for children and families into the All Saints by-the-Sea Parish School family. Our goal in this classroom is to grow the child's confidence, foster independence, and build a strong foundation for future education. We do this by meeting their young emotional needs, and teaching by modeling play and behavior. We rotate themes throughout the year which allows for exploration of new topics. Our art, science, music, literature and toys will reflect the topics which we are discussing. At this stage of growth, our focus tends to be on the process and not the product. The Bunny Class is a sweet class where your child moves from the toddler stage to becoming a "Big Kid."

Butterfly & Beaver

Children 3 to 4 years old - 1:6 teacher / student ratio

The Butterfly and Beaver classroom goal is to have the young child feel welcome, secure, and loved; a place they joyfully want to be. These classrooms concentrate on the social-emotional aspects of the young child. This involves helping children solve their own problems using words and thinking through the situation. “What could you do next time that might work better?” “We have a problem; how can we solve this problem?”  As a theme-based curriculum the units work with puzzles, songs, manipulatives, tactile experiences, and science experiments. The Beaver classroom is a hands-on learning experience that expands the imagination, and builds self-confidence.

Bear

Children 4 to 5 years old - 1:6 teacher / student ratio

Children in the Bear class are matured and gently supported to ensure emotional, social, and literacy development to produce a smooth transition into kindergarten.  These students are able to sit attentively while engaging in circle-time activities such as storytelling, music and movement, science experiments, letter recognition and accompanying phonetic sounds, basic pre-reading and math skills, and much more.  The Bear classrooms’ goal is to graduate a happy, prepared, well-adjusted, self-sufficient, eager-to-learn student.

Our Summer Program

All Saints by-the-Sea has two 3 week summer programs for current or enrolled students ages 2-5.

The summer program is a great opportunity to get your children ready for their incoming class. This gives them the time and space to socialize with other students and get used to their teachers and the environment at All Saints.

When you are accepted at All Saints, you will receive an enrollment package for Summer Camp.

*All children outside of the Bumble Bee class must be potty trained
